2024 Quarterly Convenings

What are OEJR Convenings?

Our convenings happen once each quarter of the year, and serve a number of different purposes in our efforts for Economic and Racial Justice in Oregon.

Convenings are a time to connect. Each time we meet gives us time to build relationships and stay in touch throughout the year, building a network of advocates, community-based organizations, dominant institutions, and philanthropic partners to work together to achieve the vision that the OEJR has for Economic and Racial Justice in Oregon.

Our convenings are also a chance to learn about different aspects and efforts for Economic and Racial Justice in Oregon! At each of our gatherings in 2024 we will have a chance to hear from our members and guest speakers about topics that are core focuses to the OEJR including Direct Cash, Narrative Change, and Funding Practices for Economic and Racial Justice.

Register below now and join us!

March 21st, 9 to 11 am

For this convening we will be hearing from our Narrative Cohort about their early findings and learnings around building new Economic and Racial Justice narratives in Oregon! This is just the beginning of us sharing out how we want to change the landscape of how we talk about wealth, the stories we tell, and how to build an Oregon where everyone can live beyond the the myth of scarcity and have enough to actualize their dreams and live abundant lives.

We’ll hear a brief overview of the hard work that our cohort has done over the past few years, make connections to direct cash with our new narrative strategies, hear from a panel of our partners who have been a part of this process, and think about the different roles that we can play moving forward in our effort for justice and the narratives we need to get there.
